RegioTeam Stuttgart remain unbeaten in the U14 girls' Regionalliga. With an 81:47 win over the Basket-Girls Rhein-Neckar on Sunday, 11 October, the girls celebrated their third victory in a row. They laid the foundation in the very first quarter and saved their highest-scoring period for the end.

The first ten minutes already produced a clear lead: Stuttgart scored 18 points, the visitors five. With that 18:5, RegioTeam gave themselves early breathing room and left the Basket-Girls facing a difficult chase.

In the second quarter the visitors found their way into the game better on offence. Rhein-Neckar put 13 points on the board, but Stuttgart added another 20. At half-time RegioTeam led 38:18 — a comfortable margin earned with two clearly won periods.

After the break the scoreboard was much more even. The third quarter went narrowly to Stuttgart, 15:13. The Basket-Girls held their own but could not cut the deficit. The final ten minutes began at 53:31.

Then RegioTeam pushed once more. With 28 points, the Stuttgart girls produced their strongest offensive quarter. Rhein-Neckar scored 16, while the hosts stretched the gap to 34 points by the 81:47 final. Even with a clear lead, Stuttgart stayed productive on offence.

Strong around the basket

The difference is most striking in two-point shooting: RegioTeam scored 36 times, the Basket-Girls 14 times. The visitors hit five threes to Stuttgart's one, but that edge from distance was not enough to offset RegioTeam's high two-point output. Six made free throws for Stuttgart and four for Rhein-Neckar completed the picture.

82:50 against Ulm, 74:64 against Tübingen, now 81:47 against Rhein-Neckar: the newly formed U14 girls have passed their first three tests of the season. This time they won all four quarters — and showed with their strongest period at the end that there is still plenty left in the team after 30 minutes.
