RegioTeam is not competition for the home club, it is its extension upwards. The players stay where they started — and play with us in addition.
How the cooperation works
RegioTeam Stuttgart is a youth playing partnership, founded in 2017 by the partner clubs for performance-oriented girls' basketball. It has its own statutes, a board and its own organisation.
The idea is older: since 2008 the region's clubs have worked together in the girls' game, since 2012 as the association "Basketball in the Stuttgart Region". The reason is the same at every club — alone, the squad is not deep enough for a team at Regionalliga level; together it is.
A player stays a member of her home club and keeps training there. RegioTeam comes on top, with two additional sessions a week.

A cooperation for the Bundesliga
Since 2026 RegioTeam has worked with BSG Basket Ludwigsburg on a long-term basis. The joint team "Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg x RegioTeam Stuttgart" has qualified for the WNBL season 2026/2027 — the women's youth Bundesliga.
